Basque Beret by Lipodo

The original made from 100% virgin wool. High-quality French Basque by Lipodo with an imitation leather lining band and lining made of taffeta. The word beret comes from the French word bret. These are flat caps originating from the 13th century and are made of felt or wool fabric. Under the Basque name txapela, the cap was mainly worn in the mountain valleys of the Pyrenees. The headgear arrived in Paris during the French Revolution, where started its success story, which has continued right through to the present day. These days, the Basque is used as civilian clothing for fashion purposes and also serves as military headgear. Offshoots of the beret include flat caps or peaked caps – they are all based on the classic beret.
